Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence;
he will come and save you. Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened,
and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then shall the lame man leap as an hart,
and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.
Isaiah 35:4-6
Do not fear life’s challenges for they are opportunities to transform life and spaces for the good, opportunities to flourish in the life and life more abundantly promised. Your ability to see your challenges, life’s trials and tribulations, as opportunities requires the ability to exercise both insight and focused determination. Insight is intentionally discerning in your circumstances that which hinders as well as promotes flourishing, which positions you to focus on developing a strategy to fuel your determination toward your flourishing in your life abundantly. Allowing fear to control will cloud your ability to discern, redirecting your energy on that which hinders instead of that which promotes. Lived experiences, those that hinder and those that promote, are valuable for your progression, however, to ensure your energy is focused, the synergy of the two must work for your good by assessing and evaluating toward a strategy for your pathway forward. Working for your good, keeps your eye on your expected end and fear, allowing that which hinders to suck all the air out of your energy, can make the end appear unattainable or too far, frustrating your move forward and upward. Thus, the synergy from your insight in your circumstances as well as focused determination toward your flourishing provides an appropriate mix that empowers you to strategically flow in your pathway, leading to your abundant life. The spirit of your Word of life, that which should be, will determine how you exercise your energy, focusing on that which causes you to flourish. In the midst of our struggles addressing anti-Blackness, racism, we should not allow the anti- to control but instead our Blackness, the embrace of our value and greatness, to dominate and thus determine our pathway forward in flourishing. The prophet Isaiah declares we should be strong because our God-Creator will come and with His coming, the flowing of His Spirit within that makes us alive in our promise of life and life more abundantly. Receive and Catch The Wind of God’s Spirit, allowing the Spirit to take both your insight and focused determination, driving you to flourish in your life and spaces.
