SPRING FORTH NOW - DAILY MEDITATION

Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. With my whole heart have I sought thee:

O let me not wander from thy commandments.

Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

Psalm 119:9-11

We are living in times that are trying our soul, the vey essence of who we are and God’s purpose and plan. The struggle we are facing, as the Apostle Paul points out, is between our flesh and the spirit and the only way to win, to thrive in God’s promises for our lives, is to be empowered by the Spirit of God within us. The Spirit of God sets us free, liberates us from the challenges and difficulties of life, empowering us to discern God’s pathway to His presence and in His presence is the fullness of joy and at His right hand pleasures forevermore. The Word of God, which represents God Himself, is simply defined by love, love for God and love for all fo His creation. Love is an action word that allows for us to take action not out of our hurt, pain, or suffering but instead a natural outgrowth of God and to and for all of His creation. It is from this well of life, the Flow of the love of God, in which we discern what is before us as well as our own action to flourish in the life and life more abundantly available to you and I from God. Flow in the Word of God, Himself, love and penetrate, cleansing your way through the very darkness of life that would make you feel defeated and thus, act accordingly. Presently, in our nation, I dare say in the upcoming election, we must decide to either remain on the sideline or act; acting with our VOTE. We are challenged by our faith to make God’s Word flesh, real in our lived-experiences and in doing so we cleanse our pathway according to His Word which is neither classified as a Democratic or Republican trait, it is a God trait and any Word to the contrary is not of God. God cannot be contained by our earthly principals but it is Himself, His very Spirit that lifts us beyond our labels, Christian, Muslim, Jewish, male, female, straight, gay, in-between, rich, middle-class, poor and on and on, they are labels that are confining, God is bigger and greater than anything, the challenge is not to make Him like us but instead for us to be like Him. The Word of God cleanses our way so that we can rightly discern the pathway for life and life more abundantly. Catch The Wind of God’s Spirit and Flow in His promises that defy the challenges and difficulties of our lives; discerning the real threats and consequences of our lack of action and empowers us to act accordingly to God’s Word, cleansing our way. Remember we have a promise that God’s Word will not return void but will accomplish what He intends. Flow in the things of God and His Spirit and you will be equipped to overcome the flesh, the complexities and difficulties of our present reality, to a pathway that brings life and life more abundantly, not just for you but also for all of God’s creation.
