SPRING FORTH NOW 2023

Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the LORD: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen. And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil. Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few. And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full. So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out. And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed. Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.

II Kings 4:1-7

We see in the fact that God loved us before we and the world ever existed by preparing and executing His plan for offering Christ, His Son, as a reconciler, an atonement, an act of alignment so that we would have, if we choose, life and life more abundantly. God is willing to go to the extreme, faithful in whatever way He can so that we might choose His purpose and plan that leads to our life and blessings abundantly, it is this character of God we often find in mothers who are willing to do it all for their children. It is God who loved us, Mothered us, in such a way that we can be whole in the impossible, trust the process to overcome, and experience Him and our abilities to live abundantly. The mother who saw the future of her children, their family, and herself at stake was willing to go to the extreme and engage in a process; pouring what little oil she had in pots, and discovering the power of God in her and her children that caused them to overcome their circumstances and live abundantly. Engage whatever is before you with the assurance that you have been Mothered, loved by God, and His extreme faithfulness will lead and guide you to live, move, and have your being in a Most Favored Status.
