Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

In order for us to seize the opportunities God has created for us in order to enjoy our life and life more abundantly we must get our heads in the game and get in the way. Getting our head in the game acknowledges that we have been Chosen for our experiences and with that choice, God has provided everything in the experience, including ourselves, necessary for us to overcome. In our overcoming, we glean from our experiences the necessary resources to further advance in His promises for our lives. Overcoming is a direct result of getting our head in the game; thinking on our feet in the experience, allowing us to discern God’s ordered pathway and in doing so we get in the way of all that which seeks to devour us. The way very well may mean our confronting our fears as well as confronting ourselves so that we may become stronger and wiser; receiving and exercising insight to advance the purpose and plan of God for our lives. The devil exists to separate us from God’s opportunities to live in the fullness of His promises; living, moving, and having our being in our Most Favored Status, therefore be sober (get our mind in the game) and vigilant (get in the way) for our opportunities.
