A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

John 13:34-35

In the final days of Jesus, revealing His assignment and taking on the attributes of God Himself as The Good Shepherd, commands His disciples, His followers, to love.  Jesus sees this act of loving as a high priority, and He gives it the title of a new commandment, something that should be added to the followers' daily regimen of living. This important addition to Christ’s followers' daily regiment set them apart as a new community of people and households of faith that have sprung forth to honor God and His promises for their lives.  Jesus says, “By this,” springing forth in living and acting in love, they will reveal who God is to the world and thus live in their assignment, the very reason of their creation to give glory to God and be the crown of His glory.  Though life and its changes may appear to have defeated you and God somehow has abandoned or forsaken you, Open Up The Way by loving, in action and deed, and watch God, the very One you reveal, shed His love abundantly over you, granting both your hearts desires and more.
